Bethel Baptist Kids partners with parents to help kids learn and walk in the truth of the gospel of Jesus.
The first stop you will make is to one of our designated kiosks that are located in our Sunday School wing and near the nursery. There we will register your child, direct you to your child’s classroom, and answer any questions you might have. We look forward to meeting you!
Your child’s safety is high priority to us. Here are just a few of the measures we take to protect Bethel Kids:
Children’s ministry for babies (6 weeks) through 3rd grade is available every Sunday.
Babies – 2’s: At 9:00 and 10, our babies, toddlers, and 2 year olds experience fun play time, and high quality care.
3’s and 5’s: Our preschoolers experience the DigIn curriculum at 10 am through interactive learning, fun art, games, music and play.
Kindergarten – 3rd Grade: At 10 am, elementary students meet in the Sanctuary with their parents before being dismissed to Junior Church where they will Dig In to God’s Word using creative, multisensory teaching that immerses your kids in deep Bible learning, helping them to know Jesus personally and grow in a relationship with him.
AWANA is a fun way for kids to learn about God through the Bible. Each age group has its own age-appropriate AWANA club:
(During AWANA, we offer a teaching time for teens and small groups for adults. Sunday nights are designed to serve the whole family. Also, nursery is available for kids under age 4.)
The name Awana is an acronym that stands for approved workmen are not ashamed. It is taken from the Bible in II Timothy 2:15 which reads, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.” (KJV) As one of the fastest growing youth organizations, Awana provides a local church-sponsored program for boys and girls of all ages. Our hope is that all club members will develop faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, and then build on that foundation to become obedient servants of God.
Awana at Bethel Baptist Church is staffed with volunteer leaders who are church members. Each is chosen for their commitment to Jesus Christ and their love for children. These men and women are concerned about each young person and spend many hours training and preparation for this ministry.
Awana clubs are loaded with exciting activities! Three segments (game time, handbook time and council time) provide start-to-finish adventure. And there is a purpose in each.
Every Awana club meeting has a game time, which includes age appropriate team and individual competition. Dozens of organized games allow everyone to participate in teach teamwork and sportsmanship.
Using achievement-oriented learning segments (sections), Awana training emphasizes the importance of God’s word for sound living. Clubbers progress through graded handbooks, working individually and together with their leader.
This is a general session for everyone. It is a time for group Bible study, followed by awards and recognition for individual handbook progress and for points scored in team play.
A summer kids’ event called Rocky Railway VBS will be hosted from August 2 to August 6. At Rocky Railway, kids discover through life’s ups and downs that Jesus’ power pulls us through. Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, engage in fun snack-eating experiences, take part in one-of-a-kind Bible Adventures, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with the Rock Wrap-Up that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 8 pm.
Kids at Rocky Railway VBS will join a mission effort to provide helpful alpacas for families in need in Ecuador, South America.
Rocky Railway is for kids from 4 to entering 6th Grade and will run from 6 pm to 8:30 pm each day. For more information, call 315-896-6855.
